*Items consigned to the FHUTS will be excluded from the sale discount. However, items from our full time used section (in the store) are included in the discount*

Are you interested in consigning items to our used tack sale? 

To get started, you need a consignor number. You will use this on each tag you make for an item. This is how we will keep track of who sold what items. You can print out the tags from the website, just make sure to use card stock paper. You will also need to print an Item Log from the website. Each item for which you make a tag you will also write down on the Item Log. This is to help us keep track of each item consigned.  Please read rules carefully below!

DROP OFF DAYS: April 20 - April 25, 2019. CLOSED 4/21/19 FOR EASTER. Please call to make other arrangements if necessary. We will be closing at 3:00pm on Thursday April 25th to set up for the sale. All sale items will be kept in storage pods, which provide excellent shelter and security for your items.

SALE DAYS & HOURS: Friday April 26th 10:00am-6:00pm, Saturday April 27th 10:00am-5:00pm, Sunday April 28th 11:00am-4:00pm. The sale will be located in the grassy area next to the store inside several storage pods. New for 2019: Sunday is 1/2 Price day!

PICK UP DAYS: Monday April 29th 10:00am - 6:00pm, Tuesday 30th 10:00am - 6:00pm, Wednesday May 1st 10:00am-6:00pm, Thursday 2nd 10:00am-6:00pm. Items left after 6:00pm 5/2/19 will be donated or disposed of at Tricolor Tack's discretion. You must pick up your unsold items on or before 5/2/19 or make arrangements to have them picked up for you. We will NOT be accepting consignment items from the Used Tack Sale into our used section at the store. No exceptions! Please understand that we will have limited space to store your unsold consignment items so if you do not pick them up or make arrangements to have them picked up for you by 6:00pm Thursday 5/2/19 we will donate your items to Good Will and/or horse rescues. 

To receive your consignor number to get started, please call tricolor tack 913.239.9947. 

  • All consignment items MUST HAVE a tag printed on card stock paper. All tags must be securely attached with your consignor number written clearly in the designated space. Tricolor Tack will not sell any items that have lost their tags, or are not tagged, or do not have a consignor number.

  • All consignment items must be listed clearly in your Item Log. If you made a tag for it, make sure you write it down in the Item Log. This is for our records and to ensure you get paid the correct amount for the correct number of items sold. This will also ensure that all unsold items are returned to you.

  • Sunday 4/28/19 is 1/2 Price Day. Consigners may elect to sell their unsold items for 1/2 price on Sunday 4/28/19 by marking the designated area on each item tag & on item log. Items not marked for 1/2 price will be sold at full price on Sunday.

  • Each consignor must sign the Consignor Agreement at time of drop off.

  • Consignors agree to pay 25% commission of the sale price of each item to Tricolor Tack if you wish to receive payment by check for sold items.

  • Consignors agree to pay 10% commission of the sale price of each item to Tricolor Tack if you wish to receive payment in store credit for sold items.

  • Consignors will receive payment by check or store credit within 14 business days of April 29th, 2019.

  • Tricolor Tack reserves the right to refuse any item(s) based on salability. Please do not bring items that are too worn out, outdated or otherwise unusable due to rust, or missing or broken parts or pieces. This includes, but is not limited to, items like old nylon halters, dry rotted leather tack, saddles damage or saddles with no brand name, etc. We want this sale to have quality used items that are sellable.

  • WESTERN & ENGLISH TACK & APPAREL WELCOME! We would also love to see items for Saddleseat riding and from other breed-specific riding/showing.

  • Existing store credit cannot be applied to the purchase of used items at the Frugal Horseman's Used Tack Sale. You may still use your store credit to purchase new items from Tricolor Tack during the sale, including items from our full time used section,.

*Anything horse related in good condition is sellable. However, some hard-to-sell items are things like boots without zippers (unless priced extremely low), dry clean only breeches or green beige/ khaki breeches, regular rise breeches (especially if material is outdated), old & stiff nylon halters.
